Juls – POSITION

Juls returns with “POSITION”, a fresh release that gives fans one more song to add to their playlists.

Ghanaian producer Juls sets the tone on POSITION, a record carrying the warm, groove-led signature he has built across Afrobeats and highlife. The title hints at place, standing and holding one’s own.

POSITION works in the smooth, rhythm-rich lane Juls is known for, where the groove and the atmosphere matter as much as any single line. The production leans on a warm, mid-tempo bounce with roots in highlife and Afrobeats, and the vocal sits easily in the pocket, the whole thing built more on feel than on force.

Juls, a Ghanaian-British producer, has shaped records for a wide circle of African artists and helped define a lush, organic strand of Afrobeats. A track under his own name plays to that producer’s ear for groove and texture.

What stands out is how he leaves space in the arrangement, letting the rhythm breathe rather than crowding it. That restraint is a hallmark of his production.

It suits a warm evening or a slow gathering, the kind of record for easy company. Listeners who follow his work will recognise the touch at once.
