Angèle – Dis-le

Angèle returns with “Dis-le”, a fresh release that gives fans one more song to add to their playlists.

Belgian singer Angèle asks for honesty on Dis-le, the French title translating to “say it”, a quiet plea for someone to speak what they feel. The record turns on words left unsaid.

Dis-le works in the refined French-language pop lane Angèle is known for, a measured arrangement supporting a soft, clear vocal. The writing turns on wanting the truth spoken aloud, and the production keeps things elegant and uncluttered, letting the voice and the emotion carry the song rather than any big instrumental push.

Angèle rose to prominence as one of the leading voices in Belgian and French pop, known for sharp, personal songwriting. A song pressing someone to say what they mean fits the emotional candour that runs through her work.

The detail that lands is how she lets a line hang before the next, the pause itself carrying the weight of waiting for an answer. That silence does as much as the words.

It suits a quiet, reflective moment, the kind of listening for sitting with a feeling. Those who follow French-language pop will know her touch.
