Fola – Waf

FOLA continues the rollout of his forthcoming sophomore album, 9, with “waf,” a track that has already generated attention ahead of the project’s official release.

The song is listed as the tenth track on the 14-song album, scheduled for release on October 9, 2026, through Dangbana Republik and EMPIRE. “waf” is one of the records that has helped build anticipation around FOLA’s next musical chapter.

The track previously gained traction after a leaked version began circulating on TikTok in May, quickly becoming a sound used across posts and videos. Its inclusion on 9 means listeners can now look forward to the full version as part of FOLA’s carefully assembled sophomore project. The song arrives as a solo performance, keeping the focus on FOLA’s evolving sound and musical identity.

“waf” adds another anticipated entry to 9, following FOLA’s 2025 debut album, catharsis. With the upcoming project featuring Davido, Ayra Starr, BNXN, Darkoo, Bella Shmurda and Zlatan on other tracks, FOLA is setting the stage for a diverse sophomore album that reflects his continued growth within Nigeria’s contemporary music scene.
