Fola – My Type Ft. BNXN

FOLA teams up with BNXN on “My Type,” a slow-burn romantic record from his forthcoming sophomore album, 9. The song is the 12th track on the 14-song project, which is scheduled for release on October 9, 2026, through Dangbana Republik and EMPIRE. The collaboration brings together two Nigerian artists known for their melodic approach, with FOLA and BNXN combining their distinct vocal styles on the new record.

“My Type” marks another collaboration between FOLA and BNXN, following their previous musical connection. FOLA brings his smooth and emotional delivery to the record, while BNXN adds his recognizable vocal character, creating a contemporary Afrobeats sound built around melody and romance. The song sits within the later stretch of 9, which also features Davido, Ayra Starr, Darkoo, Bella Shmurda and Zlatan.

As part of 9, “My Type” continues FOLA’s evolution following his debut album, Catharsis. The upcoming project is built around personal experiences and carefully selected collaborations, with FOLA keeping his own musical identity at the centre. The BNXN-assisted record adds another anticipated moment to an album that showcases FOLA’s expanding sound and growing presence in Nigerian music.
