Fola – Stubborn

FOLA presents “stubborn,” the fourth track on his forthcoming sophomore album, 9. The song is part of the 14-track project scheduled for release on October 9, 2026, through Dangbana Republik and EMPIRE. Following “awade,” “how many?” and “2am in toronto” featuring Davido, “stubborn” gives listeners another preview of FOLA’s upcoming body of work.

“stubborn” arrives as a solo record, keeping FOLA at the centre of the performance as he continues the musical story behind 9. The album was created from genuine experiences, with FOLA explaining that every song came from somewhere real and that each detail was carefully considered. The track sits alongside a diverse selection of songs on the project, including collaborations with Davido, Ayra Starr, BNXN, Darkoo, Bella Shmurda and Zlatan.

Following his debut album, Catharsis, FOLA continues building anticipation for 9 with “stubborn” as one of the project’s early solo selections. The song adds another piece to the album’s tracklist while giving fans a closer look at the Nigerian singer’s evolving sound ahead of the full release.
