Fola – Awade

FOLA presents “awade,” a new Afrobeats track set to open his forthcoming sophomore album, 9. The song is the first track on the 14-song project, which is scheduled for release on October 9, 2026, through Dangbana Republik and EMPIRE. “awade” introduces the album before FOLA moves into a collection that features several notable Nigerian artistes, including Davido, Ayra Starr, BNXN, Darkoo, Bella Shmurda and Zlatan.

As the opening track, “awade” serves as the starting point for FOLA’s 9 album journey. The project follows his debut album, Catharsis, and continues the singer’s growing presence within Nigeria’s contemporary Afrobeats scene. FOLA has described the new album as a project built from genuine experiences, with each song created with careful attention to detail.

With “awade” leading the tracklist, FOLA sets the tone for his next musical chapter ahead of the full 9 album release. The song offers fans an early introduction to the project and adds to the anticipation surrounding one of his most significant releases of 2026.
